Champagne Sadi Malot Vineyards Villers-Marmery

Sadi Malot Champagne is located in the heart of the vineyards in a little village called Villers-Marmery, which sits at the outer tip of the Montagne de Reims, in the centre of the Reims – Epernay – Châlons-en-Champagne triangle.

Five generations of wine growers have tended 10 hectares of vines – 80% Chardonnay in Villers-Marmery and 20% Pinot Noir in Verzy – with the utmost care and attention.

Several years ago, Sadi Malot adopted sustainable methods and believe that this eco-friendly approach is key to the high-quality Champagnes they produce today. The aim is to work in a full organic manner and the first step is the Pinot Noir vineyard which was started to be converted in 2017.

Champagne Sadi Malot opted for this voluntary environmental certification as a testament to the pride we take in preserving the ecosystem in their vineyards. They believe it is vitally important to maintain a natural balance in and around the vineyards.

Since 2005, Sadi Malot have been using cultivation methods which allow the roots of the vines to dig deep into the soil (a layer of top soil, very deep in places, on a limestone base) to capture the very essence of the terroir.

They use precision equipment to treat and work the vines and thereby reduce the use of chemicals. And prioritise the protection of biodiversity and fertilisation and water management.

Today, Sadi Malot apply this environmental approach to 100% of their vineyards.
